HomePulse — AC Installation Guide

HomePulse Complete Split AC Installation Guide — Professional Step-by-Step Process

HomePulse is India's trusted home appliance service brand based in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. Our certified technicians have installed 2000+ split ACs across Sagar and nearby areas.

STEP 1: PRE-INSTALLATION SITE SURVEY

Before any installation, our technician visits your home to check: wall strength for indoor unit mounting, power supply availability, best location for outdoor unit (must be in shade with minimum 6-inch clearance on all sides), distance between indoor and outdoor units (shorter copper pipe run = better cooling efficiency), and drainage path for condensate water.

STEP 2: INDOOR UNIT MOUNTING

Mounting bracket drilled into wall at 7-8 feet height using spirit level for perfect alignment. The bracket must be on a load-bearing wall. A hole is drilled through the wall for copper pipe, drain pipe, and electrical cable routing. Indoor unit is hung on the bracket and leveled.

STEP 3: OUTDOOR UNIT PLACEMENT

Outdoor unit placed on a wall-mounted bracket or ground stand in a shaded location. Minimum 6-inch clearance on all sides is mandatory for proper airflow. Vibration pads placed underneath to reduce noise. Unit must be secured to prevent movement during operation.

STEP 4: COPPER PIPE CONNECTION

Copper pipe measured, cut to exact length, and flared using a flaring tool for leak-proof connections. Pipe connected from indoor to outdoor unit. Insulation foam wrapped around entire pipe length to prevent energy loss and condensation. No kinks allowed in the pipe — kinks restrict gas flow and reduce cooling.

STEP 5: ELECTRICAL WIRING

Dedicated 16-amp MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) installed for the AC. Minimum 4 sq mm copper wire used — anything thinner is a fire hazard. Proper earthing connected. Cable routed neatly with casing patti for clean finish.

STEP 6: DRAIN PIPE SETUP

Drain pipe connected from indoor unit with mandatory downward slope for gravity flow. Water flow tested before closing everything up. No sag points allowed — sag causes water accumulation and eventually leak inside the room.

STEP 7: VACUUM AND GAS CHARGING

Vacuum pump connected and run for 15-20 minutes to remove all moisture and air from the copper pipe system. This is the most critical step — skipping vacuum causes gas contamination and reduces cooling efficiency by 30-40%. After vacuum, refrigerant gas slowly filled while monitoring pressure gauge. Target pressure: R32/R410a = 120-130 psi, R22 = 65-70 psi.

STEP 8: FINAL TESTING (10-MINUTE PROTOCOL)

AC turned on and run for minimum 10 minutes. Temperature drop checked — must show 3-4 degree Celsius drop from room temperature. All connections checked for gas leaks using soap solution. Drain water flow verified. No unusual vibration or noise. Remote control tested — all modes working.

STEP 9: STICKER + INVOICE + HANDOVER

HomePulse QR sticker applied on indoor unit top right corner. Digital invoice generated via LSC Software and sent on WhatsApp. Before and after photos taken. Customer shown how to operate AC — modes, timer, temperature setting. Filter cleaning demonstrated.
